WHITTIER, Calif.– An auto struck 22 Los Angeles County sheriff’s employees on a training run around dawn Wednesday and 5 were critically harmed, authorities claimed.
An overall of 23 people were injured, including the motorist, claimed Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Sheila Kelliher.
Along with the five who were critically hurt, there were 4 with modest injuries as well as 14 with minor injuries. The vehicle driver was among those with minor injuries, she stated.
The accident took place around dawn Wednesday in suburban Whittier, where the division’s STAR Explorer Training Academy is located.
